You can’t have a list of the best travel blogging cameras without mentioning the GoPro Hero7. It is the ultimate travel camera for adventure seekers, water lovers, and even kids. The GoPro Hero7 is one of the most popular and versatile blogging cameras for globetrotters and wanderlust seekers.
What makes GoPro great is that it can be used by kids or adults for activities such as skateboarding, bike rides, vlogging, pictures, and water activities. You can do anything with a GoPro and have amazing photos and videos to show off your adventures.
The GoPro Hero7 Black is one of the most popular models due to its unbelievable features. The significant features that make this model stand out include, waterproof capability up to 33 ft without a case, live-streaming with 720p, 8x slow-mo video, 12 MP photo quality, and stabilization that offers 30x more speed for increased battery output. The video resolution without live-stream is 4k, so you’ll get crystal clear videos.
As if that wasn’t enough, voice controls allow you to take a photo or start recording hands-free. Although this isn’t the latest model, it has everything you need for an adventure around the world or in your backyard.
You get all of this for less than $300, which is why this is the most popular GoPro model for bloggers.
DJI Osmo Action
Recommended by Debbie Fettback from WorldAdventurists.com
If you’re looking for a camera to capture your blogging journeys and adventures, the DJI Osmo Action is a great choice. The Osmo Action is the biggest rival of GoPro for capturing the adventure and has many of the same features as well as a couple of great extras.
The Osmo Action screen has a great hyper-responsive display, but the front-facing full-color screen is a game-changer. With a couple of taps of your finger on the screen, you can effortlessly flip the screen to take a group shot or frame yourself.
The added screen really provides the ability to get a little more creative and explore the world with a fresh perspective. Another great feature the Osmo Action has that the Go Pro doesn’t, is a dedicated slo-mo mode, where the videos that come out of the camera are ready to playback in slow motion.
With the 4K rugged Osmo Action, you are not limited to adventure on land. Take the Osmo Action with you in the water, as deep as 36 feet, before you need to use the underwater casing. The Osmo Action is also shockproof up to five feet and dustproof.
Depending on the settings used, the battery life will last between one and two hours, as well as performing well in cold temperatures as low as -10*C.
One of the most helpful features is the custom mode option. It allows you to store profiles of settings and switch between them effortlessly when you need to use them. You’ll spend less time fussing with the camera and more time capturing those epic blogging photographs you want to remember and share.
At a price point of $239 US, or $329 US with the Ready To Go kit, the Osmo Action is a great value and investment to capture fun-filled adventures from your travels that you’ll cherish.

When traveling, lugging around a camera bag of lenses and a heavy DSLR just doesn’t work sometimes for travel bloggers, particularly when backpacking or trying to travel light. This is where the Canon G7x Mark II camera comes in as a great alternative for blogging purposes. A compact camera that certainly isn’t compact on features, this camera is also a popular choice for vloggers.
The camera offers great photo quality for the price ($629 on Amazon), with options including manual shooting to allow users to select aperture, shutter speed, and ISO as well as RAW images to allow maximum control in post-editing. With a 24-100mm (35mm equivalent) f1.8-2.8 lens with manual exposure control, this compact camera performs really well for most shooting conditions, meeting the demands of the majority of travelers that desire to use this camera for blogging.
Another feature travelers and bloggers will love – this camera comes with a digital touch screen with 180-degree tilt so you can flip it to yourself while capturing that holiday selfie!
Moreover, the G7x series is a popular vlogging camera, favored by Youtubers and travelers alike. In addition to the imaging capabilities, video resolution reaches 4K 30fps and the manual controls give you the flexibility you need for optimal shooting.
In summary, the Canon G7x MII photography camera is a great compact choice for both blogging and vlogging, and also for anyone who doesn’t want to sacrifice on image quality, all with an affordable price point.

The Sony RX100 range of compact travel cameras has been a favorite of those who prefer to travel light since it was introduced way back in 2012. The tiny size, low weight, and the sheer convenience of being able to throw it in a pocket and still use it to get stunning images and videos make it the perfect camera for blogging.
Sony was able to introduce an updated model of this amazing camera each year up to 2019. Even though Sony is now marketing the similar and newer ZV-1 at vloggers, different RX100 models remain on the market.
For many bloggers and vloggers, the RX100 V (or the slightly newer RX100 VA) hit the sweet spot. The zoom lens has an extremely bright 1.8 maximum aperture at wide-angle (2.8 when zoomed in) and, crucially, is the last in the range with an inbuilt ND filter, allowing larger apertures on sunny days or when shooting bright scenes.
Models in the range from the VI onwards sacrificed the maximum aperture (now 2.8-4.5) for increased zoom capabilities (200mm versus the previous 70mm maximum) and lost the ND filter.
The VA model can still be found on major marketplaces for under $1000 (Amazon.com currently $998), while the cost of the slightly earlier V version is substantially less when available.

The Canon M50 is the ultimate travel blogging and vlogging camera companion for 2021 and here’s why: the Canon M50 is small and compact – there’s nothing worse than carrying around a big and bulky camera when you have a whole day of sightseeing planned. Also, if you are new to using mirrorless cameras, then this is a great starter camera as there are plenty of auto settings to help you take the perfect photo or video whilst you are getting to grips with the manual settings.
Whether you’re a vlogger or you need to take a solo picture, the fact is that this camera is unlike a lot of cameras on the market. It has a pull-out screen to help you get into the perfect position. The Canon M50 has a decent built-in camera but you can invest in an external microphone if videography is your main focus.
Your biggest cost when it comes to this camera will be the changeable lenses, but the camera does come with kit lenses and if it’s epic content you would like to create, then lenses are a worthwhile expense.
If, like me, you love accessories to help improve your photos and videos, then the Canon M50 is not short of them, from tripods and gimbals to filters and controls. There’s plenty to choose from at affordable prices. The Canon M50 is great for vloggers and also for cinematic content, it shoots HD and 4k. The 4k does have a few flaws but it really isn’t necessary to post in 4k at present as a lot of people are still watching content in HD.
This is a great camera for blogging photos both in manual and in auto settings, it shoots in Raw and JPEG. (If you are new to photography, take the time to learn about aperture and iso).
Final thoughts, the Canon M50 is the perfect camera for both blogging and vlogging because it offers so much for both photography and for videography for just £749.99.
Insta 360 One x2

Cameras are one of the most important gear for bloggers and vloggers looking to capture their stories. There are various types of cameras available on the market and can be chosen according to their typical usage. Action cameras are those which capture high-quality videos with high frames per second, which helps to capture actions, beautiful sunrises such as in Kolukkumalai and make amazing videos for travel blogs and vlogs.
Nowadays, action cameras have changed into 360-degree cameras, which can capture the entire 360 degrees around you while shooting. The Insta 360 one x2 is one of the best 360-degree cameras available. This camera is able to shoot stunning shots with a 5.7k resolution. Another top feature is that it is waterproof for up to 10m, so you can take great underwater shots.
This camera comes with 4 mics on all four of its edges so it records from all the sides. The Insta 360 also has a feature called flow state stabilization. This feature is used while shooting very shaky footage. It will reduce all these camera shakes and give us smooth videos.
Another essential item you should buy with the Insta 360 camera is an invisible selfie stick. If you mount the camera on this selfie stick the software in the camera will erase the stick and you will feel the camera is in the air and capturing the footage. In a nutshell, Insta 360 camera is a perfect choice for blogging which comes at a price of $429,95 to $600.

Equipped with a more advanced sensor and faster processor, Fujifilm’s X-T30 mirrorless is a powerful blogging camera in a small package. It’s a great camera for photography professionals as well as amateurs looking to up their photography game.
Both will appreciate having full control of the aperture and shutter speed settings with the ability to shoot using either as the priority as well as full manual mode. Old school film photographers that long for the ability to evoke a particular mood or style will love playing with the film simulation modes.
The 26.1MP sensor boasts improved image quality and light sensitivity, allowing you to shoot in lower light conditions. And its upgraded autofocus system has accurate face and eye detection as well as more precise tracking areas. The Fujifilm X-T30 also captures 4K video at 30p.
The battery has a decent life for a camera with an EVF viewfinder, especially when the auto-sleep mode is enabled. And travelers will appreciate the charger which uses a USB-C cord, something you’re likely to already have in your bag should you lose it.
The X-T30 (body only) entered the market at $899, but you can often find it on sale for $699, which is great value for a camera with these specs. Pair it with one of Fuji’s outstanding lenses to create a robust camera system that’s easy to bring along your travel and blogging adventures.

The Sony A6300 is, nowadays, more affordable than the newest models of the Sony mirrorless range. Nonetheless, this mirrorless Sony APS-C camera has almost the same features as more recent models, which still makes it one of the best blogging cameras in 2021.
What we love about it is its size, which allows us to pack the camera with a drone and 2 lenses in a small camera bag. Unlike its full-frame counterparts, we don’t have to think twice about bringing it with us. It’s a great backpacking camera that you can have with you at all times because it’s so lightweight and compact.
The Sony A6300’s autofocus was actually the fastest in the world when it was released in February 2016. It gives awesome results while filming, especially with its 35mm 1.8 lens. It also shoots 4K and slow-mo at 100ips.
One last thing you’re gonna love about it is the included Imagine Edge mobile application. This app can act as a remote control for shooting hands-free and also, allows you to copy your recent shots straight to your phones for a quick edit in VSCO or lightroom. While it’s not the most advanced camera in the market these days, the Sony A6300 is one of the best blogging cameras in 2021 for its price, features, and easily packable capacities.
Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III

There’s a reason why so many travel bloggers, landscape photographers, and visionaries are turning to Olympus. If you could sum up the ethos of the Olympus digital camera brand in one sentence it would be: stylish, impeccable image quality, and compact design.
Olympus cameras are built on the Micro Four Thirds (mirrorless) lens system. They have a much smaller sensor than their full-frame equivalents, offering the benefit of a more compact design. In a nutshell, their cameras and lenses are smaller, lighter, and more affordable. Another standout feature of the Olympus camera range is the unrivaled image stabilization – it can very easily handle low lighting conditions such as indoor, twilight, and even some night photography without the need for a tripod.
The compact Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III is perfect for entry-level photographers and travel bloggers, with a price point of around $600 for the body plus standard M.Zuiko 14-42mm lens. This camera has a stylish vintage design, is great for traveling, street photography, blogging, and vlogging, and will fit snuggly inside your travel handbag or backpack.
If you’re looking to step up your photography game and move into the professional arena, then perhaps check out the bigger brother version; Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III. This version is slightly larger (but still more compact than most full-frame cameras) and features enhanced weather sealing, sharper image stabilization, faster continuous autofocus, and many more additional features one would expect from a high-performance professional camera. The E-M1 Mark III will set you back around $1600 for the body only (not including lenses).

The Nikon D750 is a mid-range professional full-frame camera and the preferred gear to many avid photographers and bloggers. This is in part thanks to the extraordinary crispness of the images, the very reliable focus, and the vibrant colors it captures.
While it is true that the Nikon D750 is considerably larger than a simple point-and-shoot camera, the body of the camera comes in at a respectable 755g, making it the lightest of the Nikon pro-range and also lighter in comparison to similar Canon models.
The Nikon D750 is perfect for wildlife photography, landscape photography, and for portrait photography (widely used by some of the industry’s leading travel bloggers). Compared to other models in the same price range the Nikon, the D750 does exceptionally well in low-light conditions (great when you go out and explore a city on a cloudy day or when you venture out into the mountains on a camping trip).
Other very useful features include a slot for 2 SD cards (you will never run out of space to get your shots!), a large tilting LCD screen (for those harder to shoot angles), and built-in Wi-Fi allowing you to transfer images directly from the camera to your phone in mere seconds.
Canon EOS 2000D

A great camera for blogging and travel photography is the Canon EOS 2000D. It is a convenient camera to have and it has all you need to shoot some great photos and videos. It has a 24.1 MP sensor and shoots Full HD videos which is great for vlogging. This is much better than the camera on your phone.
Furthermore, you can connect the camera to your smartphone using WiFi and the Canon Camera Connect app. This allows you to shoot photos without holding the camera. Also, with this function, you can see the photos directly on your phone, available to be saved or shared on social media.
Canon’s EOS 2000D is one of the cheaper models in the Canon EOS series, which is awesome. You can buy it for less than $400. This makes it a great camera for beginner bloggers and vloggers. For a small price, you are still able to shoot wonderful photos of high quality.
Later, when you want to up your game, you can switch out the standard lens for a better one. There is a large range of lenses that fit the system. These lenses fit on each EOS Canon model, so you can use them on any other Canon EOS camera body. This is great as you may buy another camera body later.

The Sony A7III is a fantastic blogging and vlogging camera. It has an excellent full-frame sensor and it’s mirrorless which allows the body to be lighter and smaller making it the ideal professional camera for photographers and videographers.
It’s also great for low-light capabilities if you want to shoot at Blue Hour or do astrophotography. Because the A7III also has very good video specs, it’s ideal for both photos and videos. This allows bloggers to optimize and create content through both mediums.
The camera also allows interchangeable lenses which give you the flexibility to create the image you want. Whether that’s changing out the lens for a 16-35mm lens to get more of a wide-angle shot, especially if you’re trying to capture vast landscapes, or to change it out for the 100-400mm lens to capture far-away details. Or even something like a 400mm lens paired with the Sony 1.4x teleconverter for effectively 560mm to be able to capture wildlife on an African safari or on a hike. The body retails for $1,699.99 and the price of the lenses varies depending on which lens you’re after.

The Pentax K1000 is a versatile and dependable film camera for bloggers. It’s sturdy, built to last, and can take a few bumps in your backpack when traveling with it. It is also fully mechanical, which means you don’t have to worry about forgetting to pack any extra batteries for it in your suitcase! All the functions (like ISO, shutter speed, and aperture) are operated manually, so users will have to know a few basics about photography before using the Pentax K1000 for their next blogging project.
This is an excellent blogging camera for those who don’t mind waiting for photos and are really into a nostalgic aesthetic and vintage-looking images. For travel bloggers, bringing a film camera on your travels often forces you to slow down, soak in the moment, and spend time composing your shot. This camera uses 35mm film, so make sure to stock up on your favorite rolls before traveling!
Pentax does not produce these cameras brand new anymore (they were produced from 1976 to 1997) but they are easy to find and buy off of places like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy. The price can range from $100–$250, depending on the condition, but if you have been interested in getting into film photography, the Pentax K1000 is one of the best film cameras for beginners to try.
